A non-toxic enzymatic pond cleaner containing 3 types of enzyme-producing bacteria, which break down pond sludge and waste. Through enzymatic action, Pond-Zyme Plus reduces pond maintenance and keeps pond water clean and clear. 100%-natural product, safe for all pond fish, plants and wildlife. ...
Pond Zyme Plus With Barley Pond Cleaner
Pond-Zyme PLUS with Barley is a heavy-duty pond cleaner, containing five specially selected bacterial strains in a stable dry form. Pond-Zyme breaks down fish waste and dead algae that can cause cloudy water, sludge build-up, and debris that clogs pumps and filters.

Organic matter accumulates in all garden ponds producing a build-up of sludge and causing cloudy water. The five strains of bacteria in Pond-Zyme digest sludge and turn it into harmless minerals and water, visibly improving water clarity and quality.

Excess phosphate often leads to discolored, murky water. The bacteria in Pond-Zyme PLUS will consume phosphate that is in the water and also "organic phosphate" that is in pond sludge. This also leads to cleaner, clearer water.

Pondcare Pond-Zyme PLUS with Barley features:
  • Dissolves away hard-to-clean waste and breaks down fish waste, uneaten food, and dead algae and vegetation that accumulate in the pond.
  • Helps maintain good water quality to minimize stress to fish and plants.
  • Use whenever setting up or cleaning a pond and preparing pond for seasonal change.
  • 3.7 oz treats 4500 US gallons.
  • Safe for all pond fish, plants, and wildlife

The Science of Sludge

Sludge is the mucky debris that settles on the bottom of the pond. It is made up of decaying fish waste, dead plant material, dead algae, and leaves and twigs. As it decomposes, it creates toxic ammonia and releases toxic gasses into the water habitat, endangering fish and plant life.

Sludge-removers are particularly helpful if you have used an algae-killing product or you have lots of organic debris built up over the season.

Pond-Zyme® with Barley can be used in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. We recommend adding Pond-Zyme® with Barley in the Spring when fish start feeding. Pond-Zyme® with Barley can be used anytime to help clean up a dirty pond or clear murky water.

Ideal for filter-feeding marine invertebrates as well as planktivorous fish
Kent Marine Zooplex Zooplankton
The first aquarium product of its’ kind, ZooPlex is a suspension of whole bio-engineered marine zooplankton raised in a remote area of the world. A natural zooplankton food source with incredible advantages.

Animal size is approximately 800 microns, ideal for filter-feeding marine invertebrates as well as planktivorous fish

Provides incredibly high concentrations of Omega-3 fatty acids and carotenoid pigments. Omega-3 fatty acids and carotenoid pigments have been shown to greatly increase immune efficiency, growth rate, and coloration of aquatic animals. Contains essential amino acids, fiber, and high levels of color-enhancing compounds.Surpasses brine shrimp nauplii in nutritional profile; may be used as a complete brine shrimp nauplii replacement. Contains no yeast or sugars!

ZooPlex provides reef hobbyists with a break through in the nutrition of filter feeding invertebrates, planktivorous fishes, and fish and invertebrate larvae - one that is readily accepted by all types of LPS, SPS, and soft (leather) corals, as well as polyps, clams and other bivalves, and many species of marine fish (from gobies to juvenile angelfish and butterflyfish). Great for SeaHorses, Clownfish and freshwater fry.

Studies have shown that most ornamental marine organisms have a wide-ranging diet in the wild, which provides essential nutrients for a naturally long and healthy life. It is therefore all the more important to provide captive marine organisms with a varied diet, rather than feeding the same type of food day after day; in this manner, natural feeding habits and nutritive needs are provided for in an aquarium environment.

For best results with invertebrates, alternate use with Kent PhytoPlex, ChromaPlex, Coral Accel, and MicroVert to provide a full-range of nutrients.

As when feeding any food product, pay close attention to water quality and do not overfeed.

Directions: Shake well immediately prior to use! Add 1 to 2 teaspoons (5 to 10 ml, or 1 to 2 capfuls) per 50 gallons aquarium water in an area of high water flow, or by target feeding. Feed several times weekly, depending on animal load. For best results, see Use and Interaction section on opposite sidebar.

Tech•I long Acting Iodine Supplement for marine tanks will revolutionize the keeping of difficult marine invertebrates!
Kent Marine Tech-i

Kent Marine Tech•I is the most significant breakthrough in marine additive technology in the last five years! Although present in salt mixes, iodine is rapidly used up in the system, and removed through protein skimming, ozone and filtration. Where most iodine supplements last for just a few days, Tech•I Iodine supplement provides iodine in a unique triple release system for sustained availability to invertebrates over weeks of time. It seems to bring the whole reef to vibrant life.

    Features:
  • Long Acting Iodine Supplement
  • Provides free iodine, iodide and timed release iodide
  • 8oz treats 2200gal
  • Hobbyists report:
  • reproduction in corals that have not previously reproduced and increased growth rates in sensitive hard and soft corals.
  • Keeping Xenia is much easier
  • Corals open fuller and grow faster than ever before!
  • Assists hard corals and helps prevent bleaching!

Considerations for use: Tech•I provides free iodine and iodide immediately, and a timed release system which continues to provide available iodide over many weeks. Test kits will not read the timed release iodide, and may not register the free iodine. Do not exceed the recommended dosage without testing, and do not exceed seawater level of either iodine or iodide if measuring with a kit. Carefully observe animals while using. If negative reactions are noted, discontinue use, and resume a week later at half dose. (Actually iodine/iodide testing is unnecessary, just dose as directed)

If you plan to use Tech•I Iodine supplement while ozone is in use, be careful. The ozone can release all of the iodine in Tech•I at once, so carefully observe your animals on a daily basis, and discontinue use, if necessary. Tech•I is designed for use by experienced hobbyists, who are able to judge negative reactions by inhabitants. If you are inexperienced or use ozone, and you want to be totally safe, use Concentrated Iodine Supplement instead of this product!

Directions: Add two teaspoons (2 capfuls or 10 ml) per 50 gallons tank capacity every week for three weeks. Reduce to half dosage in the 4th and subsequent weeks, unless you can test the level. Add directly to the system in an area of good water movement. Do not mix with other supplements outside the aquarium. Do not use with Poly Ox, other oxidizers, or ozone!

Safely and quickly raises the calcium level and buffer level in marine aquariums.
Kent Marine Tech Cb Parts A&b

Provides bio-available calcium and alkalinity. Enhances the growth of hard and soft corals and other invertebrates.

Each of Tech•CB Part A and Part B is half of an ionically balanced, complete calcium and alkalinity control system. When used simultaneously in equal amounts the system will raise both the calcium and buffer level in the aquarium, and is phosphate, nitrate and gluconate free!

Containing over 28,000 ppm of cationic calcium, predominately in the form of calcium carbonate, Tech•CB will produce an ionic residual with the composition of natural seawater! Each 16 oz. of Tech•CB will treat 1,900 gallons or 7,200 litres.

    Features:
  • Complete Calcium and Alkalinity buffering system
  • Enhances growth of hard & soft corals, and other invertebrates
  • 16oz treats 1900gal

Considerations for use: A pH of 8.0 to 8.3 and an alkalinity of 2.9 to 4.0 meq/L (8 to 11 dKH) is recommended. Calcium level should be maintained between 400 and 450 ppm. Test calcium & alkalinity and adjust the recommended dose for your particular system! Do not exceed 1/2 ml per gallon per 12 hour period. If you use Kalkwasser simultaneously with this product, use half the recommended dose of Kent Tech•CB. If you have trouble maintaining calcium or buffer level, check to see that the salt mix you are using has seawater level of magnesium. To save money and increase dissolvability, some manufacturers of popular newer salts have included only half the level of magnesium necessary in their sea salt mixes, resulting in low calcium solubility and poor buffering! If magnesium is low, use Kent Tech•M Magnesium.

Directions: Add 10 ml per 40 gallons aquarium capacity of part A and the same amount of part B each day, in a high flow area of the aquarium, until target calcium level and alkalinity are reached. Add in the morning to prevent overshoot of pH. (Cap on 16 oz. bottle equals 5 ml, Cap on 64 oz. and gallon equals 10 ml) Never mix part A and part B together, add to tank separately. Some cloudiness may be observed. This should go away rapidly. If calcium level is at target and alkalinity is low, then reduce the amount of part A you are adding by 50% and double the amount of part B until the values are at target. Then proceed as directed. If alkalinity is high, reduce the amount of part B etc.

    Features:
  • Provides strontium & molybdenum
  • Enhances growth of hard & soft corals
  • No Phosphate, Nitrate or gluconates
  • 8oz treats 2400gal

Considerations for use: Caution against excessive useage is advised, and proper buffering via regularly measuring alkalinity (carbonate hardness or KH), and adjusting with Kent Marine Superbuffer-dKH or Kent Marine Marine Aquarium pH Buffer is absolutely necessary. For best results adjust system KH to 10 dKH with Superbuffer-dKH or Marine Aquarium pH Buffer. Use Kent Kalkwasser Mix, Concentrated Liquid Calcium or TURBO CALCIUM to keep proper calcium levels. Use Kent Coral-Vite to add important trace minerals and vitamins for corals!

Be sure to read our Calcium Testing Suggestions below.

Directions: Add one teaspoon (capful or 5 ml) per 50 gallons (190 l) of tank capacity. Adding more than the recommended amount of Strontium & Molybdenum Supplement is generally very safe and can be beneficial in many cases, particularly when you have heavy animal loads. If you decide to increase the dosage, just read the cautions below, and cut back should any adverse reactions be noticed.

REEF CARBON removes organic pollutants, stains, and entrained toxic gases in marine and freshwater aquariums or ponds.
Kent Marine Reef Carbon

Contains the finest pelletized activated bituminous coal based carbon. Out performs any carbon especially coconut shell!

  • Low Ash -- suitable for sensitive species such as Discus
  • Large pore size
  • Highly activated -- Economical -- use less for same results
  • Will not release phosphates nor promote undesirable algae growth
  • Will not clog easily
  • 1qt treats 400gal

Directions:
Reef Carbon is dusty. This is a necessary characteristic of the finest carbons and is a small price to pay for a carbon that is so active, low in phosphates, and ash, so rinse well in cold running tap water. This will take some effort. IN THE AQUARIUM: Place in a polyester bag or filter chamber and position for maximum water flow through the carbon. IMPORTANT: You can use as any other carbon, but best results will be obtained by using any carbon for only 3 days per month or so. (This is because any carbon will continue to remove trace elements long after it is totally plugged with organics.) Use only enough to remove the color from the water.

Kent Marine Phosphate Sponge is not an algaecide, but a ceramic medium which will adsorb phosphates quickly (within hours) when placed directly in the water flow.
Kent Marine Phosphate Sponge

Works in fresh and saltwater aquariums or ponds to bring about 1.0 ppm of phosphate or silicates down to less than .05 ppm in a 120 gallon tank for every dry quart of medium.

For silicate to be removed, phosphates must first be removed. Beads are cracked to expose more surface area and increase efficiency! This product will not release soluble aluminum compounds into your aquarium, causing negative reactions from your inverts Will also absorb moisture for use as an air dryer for ozone, and can be renewed over and over in moisture removal service!

  • Removes Phosphates & Silicates
  • Helps reduce hair algae, diatoms, cyanobacteria and other unsightly, undesirable algae growth
  • Highly effient!
  • 1qt treats a 120gal tank

Considerations for Use: Phosphates and silicates are nutrients or fertilizers which, given proper lighting and other nutrients, will promote rapid growth of undesirable algae, diatoms and cyanobacteria. When used as directed, Phosphate Sponge will lower the levels of these fertilizers to help reduce growth of these unsightly nuisances. Successive replacement of charges of Phosphate Sponge may encourage a die off of hair algae!

Renewal: For phosphate removal, renewal may or may not be possible, depending on conditions of use. At best, product may be renewed two times, depending on circumstances of use, and capacity will be much lower each time. To renew, spread 1/4" thick on a baking pan. Place in a 450 degree oven for one hour. Let cool. Rinse with fresh water and re-use. When reusing, leave for 8 hours, maximum. Do not use pan for food.

Directions:
Rinse with fresh water (preferably reverse osmosis or deionized water) WARNING: PRODUCT MAY GET VERY HOT THE FIRST TIME IT IS WET! Use rubber gloves and/or place in a plastic container while rinsing! Place in a large mesh bag (300-800 micron) or a canister filter, directly in the water flow. Make sure water flows through the material and not just around it. Leave for 8 hours to 2 days maximum (as with any phosphate adsorber, phosphates can be re-released into the system if initial charge is left in the system continuously. If you want to leave in the system to keep phosphates low or to remove silicates, replace initial charge with brand new, and change on a regular basis.) For silicate removal, phosphate must first be removed, then a new charge of Phosphate Sponge must be left in the system for several days.

Kent Phytoplex is a highly concentrated complex of aqua cultured, naturally occurring marine phytoplankton
Kent Marine Phytoplex

It contains Nannochloropsis, Tetraselmis and Isochrysis sp. Tahitian ranging in size from 2 to 15 microns. Phytoplex provides necessary proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids for live hard & soft corals, tube worms, clams and other invertebrates

It is rich in the omega-3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA and is useful in feeding rotifers and other plankton and in raising larval fish. Phytoplex is grown in cold saltwater under laboratory conditions. It contains over 3 billion cells per capful and is typically about 15 times as concentrated as competing live cultures, meaning that one 8 oz. bottle of Phytoplex has more phytoplankton cells than 1gallon of the competition. It is free of viruses, toxins and heavy metals which can be a problem when using live algae cultures, cultured in outdoor ponds. Phytoplex contains Nannochloropsis, a small green flagellate and Tetraselmis, a large green flagellate both containing high EPA lipid levels as well as high protein contents.

It also contains Tahitian Isochrysis, a small yellow flagellate which is rich in protein, carbohydrates and DHA lipids. Phytoplex is very useful in SPS and soft coral propagation as well as overall reef maintenance.

Directions-Important: Invertebrate foods should be used sparingly in a marine aquarium, to prevent loss of water quality! Add 1 to 2 teaspoons per 50 gallons (1 capful from 8 or 16 oz. bottle, or 5 ml = 1 teaspoon) in an area of high water flow. Feed daily or several times weekly, depending on animal load.

Target Method: Individual animals may be targeted with this product and this is the most efficient method. It also causes less pollution in the aquarium. To do this, purchase a plastic syringe. Fill the syringe with Kent Phytoplex and dispense, as necessary where the product will flow over the animal. Do not touch the animal with the syringe. Do not contaminate this product with aquarium water by inserting syringe into this container!

Considerations for use: For SPS or soft coral propagation, Kent Phytoplex can be used daily. For best results, use Coral Accel simultaneously. Keep a close watch on water quality and do not overfeed! Feed Micro•Vert once weekly in lieu of Coral Accel on that day.

Live corals require strong lighting, with proper spectrum and strong water movement in a well established aquarium.

Removes Nitrates and prolongs the time allowed between water changes by keeping nitrates low!
Kent Marine Nitrate Sponge

Kent Marine Nitrate Sponge is a granular zeolitic medium which works by two methods.

  1. It slowly directly adsorbs small amounts of ammonia that are released by fish and natural processes, and
  2. it fosters anaerobic bacterial denitrification due to its physical porous structure.

This denitrification slowly reduces nitrate levels in the aquarium. It also works well in freshwater tanks or tap water to remove toxic ammonia directly!

Considerations for use: Nitrates are best brought down initially with large water changes with a low nitrate salt, such as Kent Sea Salt. Deionization or reverse osmosis filtration of tap water nitrates will also help if your tap water contains significant levels of nitrates. Each treatment of Nitrate Sponge will reduce nitrates by about 20 ppm (total nitrates) for the stated size. Not overfeeding the tank, good maintenance practices, regularly vacuuming of detritus, regular use of Kent Marine Reef Carbon, and regular changing of filter floss are critical to nitrate control and water changes are absolutely necessary! Products which contain gluconates, other sugars and heavy organic chemicals should be avoided since they will foster undesirable growth of cyanobacteria.

Phosphates and silicates are also nutrients or fertilizers which, given proper lighting and other nutrients, will promote rapid growth of undesirable algae, diatoms and cyanobacteria also. Kent Marine Phosphate Sponge can be used simultaneously with the Nitrate Sponge to lower the levels of these fertilizers and help reduce growth of these unsightly nuisances.

Anaerobic Denitrator: If you have a bad nitrate problem, consider purchasing a filter housing in which to place the Nitrate Sponge. Fill this housing with aquarium water and let stand totally closed, with no water movement for 3 weeks. This will give the bacteria time to multiply and populate the Nitrate Sponge. Tap your main pressure line from your aquarium pump with small airline tubing and a small air valve. Adjust the valve to allow one drop per second to flow out of the filter back into your sump. This unit requires no feeding and therefore cannot produce deadly hydrogen sulfide gas as other systems might.

Concentrated Liquid Calcium provides bio-available calcium for lush growth of purple, pink and green calcareous algaes, snails, hard tube worms and clams.
Kent Marine Liquid Calcium

Corals will open more and stay attached to their skeletons better, with regular use. Phosphate & nitrate free! Concentrated Liquid Calcium alone can provide all the calcium your reef will need, but for maximum results, use Kent Kalkwasser Mix first, then raise calcium level with this product. Strontium addition via use of Kent Marine Strontium & Molybdenum Supplement is absolutely necessary. Use of Coral•Vite, and Essential Elements are beneficial, as well.

    Features:
  • Safely and rapidly raises calcium level, provides bio-available calcium
  • Enhances growth of hard & soft corals and other invertebrates
  • Contains no phosphates, gluconates, or other sugars
  • 8oz treats up to 9400gal

Directions: Add ¼ to 1 teaspoon (1/4 to 1 capful or 1.25 to 5 ml) per 50 gallons (190 l) of tank capacity each day, based on animal load. Since animals use calcium, and gallons do not, regular testing of calcium level by a good calcium test kit (HachTM brand is recommended) is advised. Adjust amount of addition of the product to achieve a calcium level of about 400 mg/l. A higher level may result in rapid calcium compound precipitation and deposits which can possibly be destructive to pumps and other sensitive system equipment. It is recommended that you regularly check impellers and other delicate equipment for calcium deposits if you run higher (above 400 mg/l) system calcium levels! For best results adjust system KH to 8 to 10 dKH with Superbuffer-dKH or Marine Aquarium pH•Buffer.

Kent Coral-Vite is the premium hard & soft coral vitamin & mineral supplement.
Kent Marine Coral-vite

It provides exotic trace minerals and complex nutrients for health and vigor and to stimulate growth in corals, anemones, gorgonians, and desirable marine algae. It contains no detrimental heavy metals, gluconates or other sugars, phosphates, nitrates, or silicates. Coral-Vite does not promote undesirable algae growth. Our goal is to provide SLR or Sustained Long-term Results. To this end, Coral-Vite makes the lightest possible use of EDTA and preservatives. These ingredients are necessary, however, to make sure you get a fresh, potent product.

  • Hard & soft coral vitamin and mineral supplement
  • Designed For Miniature Reef Marine Aquariums
  • Phosphate, Nitrate & Silicate Free
  • Contains no gluconates, or other sugars!
  • 8oz treats up to 2400gal

Considerations for use: For optimum results, use water prepared by reverse osmosis (particularly in mini-reefs). However, tap water treated with Chlorinex or Ammonia Detox will work.

Kent Coral-Vite will supply needed rubidium, lithium, barium and other important minerals as well as essential vitamins to the reef. Coral-Vite and Essential Elements are designed to work together in a reef environment.

Although Coral-Vite contains strontium and calcium, you should use separate additives for these to achieve a synergistic effect. Tanks with large numbers of soft corals, crustaceans or macro algae will require the Concentrated Iodine or Iron supplements as well. Use Kent Kalkwasser Mix, Concentrated Liquid Calcium, or Turbo-Calcium to supply needed calcium. Use Strontium and Molybdenum or Turbo-Strontium to provide heavy amounts of strontium.

Note: Live corals also require strong lighting, with proper spectrum and immaculately clean systems. Regular water changes are encouraged. Coral-Vite is safe for use with or without ozone and will provide excellent results in either case. More frequent addition may be required due to ozone use.

Directions: Add 1 to 2 teaspoons per 50 gallons of tank capacity every week depending on animal load (1 capful, or 5 ml = 1 teaspoon). Do not dose from the same container as Kalkwasser, but use simultaneously and add directly to tank or sump. Complements Kent Marine Essential Elements.

Kent Coral Accel is a Hard & Soft Coral Growth Stimulator
Kent Marine Coral Accel

It provides complex proteins which provide a natural source of necessary amino acids that spur coral tissue growth.

Contains rich marine lipids and is particularly designed for use when fragmenting small polyped stony corals and propagating soft corals, octocorals, and colonial anemones.

Directions-Important: Invertebrate foods should be used sparingly in a marine aquarium to prevent loss of water quality! Shake well immediately prior to use: Add 1 to 2 teaspoons per 50 gallons daily depending on animal load (1 capful from 8 or 16 oz. bottle, or 5 ml = 1 teaspoon) in an area of high water flow.

Individual animals may be targeted with this product. This is the most efficient method. It also causes less pollution in the aquarium. To do this, purchase a plastic syringe

Fill the syringe with Kent Coral Accel and dispense as necessary where the product will flow over the animal. Do not touch the animal with the syringe. Do not contaminate this product with aquarium water by inserting syringe into this container!

Considerations for use: For coral propagation, Coral Accel should be used daily. It is a clean product - however, water quality should always be monitored. You must judge overfeeding by the condition of your aquarium.

Kent Phytoplex marine phytoplankton is a good choice to feed daily along with the Coral Accel.

Feed Micro•Vert once weekly in lieu of Coral Accel.

Live corals require strong lighting with proper spectrum and strong water movement, in a well seasoned aquarium. Do not attempt to propagate corals in an aquarium that is less than a year old.

Replaces biologically important trace minerals.
A F Cichlid, Rift Lake Elements

These vital minerals are used by fish and plants and removed through filtration in African Cichlid and other Rift Lake fish tanks. This is the most complete product on the market for Africans, nothing like it exists anywhere! You will see vibrant colors like never before! Also will benefit most American Cichlids whose native waters are hard and have a pH above 7.8! Free of polluting nitrates, phosphates, and organic chemicals!

Considerations for use:

  1. First use A F CICHLID CHEMISTRY (a dry powder) to provide basic water chemistry and all trace minerals to African Cichlids and other Rift Lake fishes, for new systems and each time you change your water. It is recommended that you refer to reference material for the fish you are keeping to determine water quality parameters, but, a general guide is provided on the A F Cichlid Chemistry label. For optimum results, use water prepared by reverse osmosis, however dechlorinated tap water will work.
  2. Next use A F CICHLID BUFFER, specially formulated pH buffer and alkalinity adjusting system designed for African Cichlids and other rift lake fishes, to adjust the alkalinity. Refer to reference material for the proper value, but a general guide is 175 to 225 ppm or 10o to 12o dKH (German degrees of hardness). The buffer also works well for other cichlids from hard alkaline waters (above 7.8 pH).
  3. Test the pH. If it is low, then raise it with Kent pH CONTROL PLUS to the proper value for the type of fish you are keeping. A general guide is given on the A F Cichlid Buffer label..
  4. Use reverse osmosis water for topping off for evaporation. (Tap water can be used, but will increase total dissolved solids!)
  5. Use this product (Rift Lake Trace Elements) weekly to maintain trace mineral levels which will be depleted by fish and plants and by carbon, resin, and pad filtration.

Directions: Add one teaspoon (1 capful or 5 ml) per 30 gallons (120 liters) of tank capacity every week. Also add immediately after carbon use. For best results use with Kent A F Cichlid Chemistry, and A F Cichlid Buffer.

Contents: Inorganic mineral salts of aluminum, boron, bromine, calcium, chromium, cobalt, copper, iodine, iron, lithium, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, potassium, selenium, sulfur, strontium, tin, and vanadium in a base containing deionized water and EDTA.

Designed to provide natural water chemistry to African cichlids and other rift lake fishes without significantly raising pH.
A F Cichlid, Cichlid Chemistry

Liquid Cichlid Chemistry is a specially formulated mixture of carbonates, sulfates, and chlorides of sodium, magnesium, calcium and potassium with all necessary minor and trace minerals to approximate Rift Lake water chemistry. Compatible with and designed for use with A F Cichlid Buffer for pH control and A F Cichlid Rift Lake Trace Elements. Contains no phosphates, nitrates, silicates or organics to pollute the system. (Note: competing products usually contain very high levels of silicates which encourage diatom (algae) growth on the tank walls! This product does not!) A F Cichlid Chemistry will also benefit most American cichlids whose waters are hard and have high pH's above 7.8!

Considerations for use: For maximum results, start with water prepared by reverse osmosis. Dechlorinated tap water can also be used. If using tap water, first measure TDS (total dissolved solids) or GH (general hardness). Using this product, adjust the hardness to desired value for the type of fish you are keeping. This is recommended to be 350 to 400 ppm TDS or 12 o to 14 o dGH (Gesamthaerte or German degrees of general hardness) for Tanganyika, 200 ppm TDS or 7o dGH for Malawi, and 150 ppm TDS or 5o dGH for Victoria conditions. A good rule of thumb is 1 to 4 teaspoons (6 to 24 grams) of A F Cichlid Chemistry per 10 gallons (38 l) for initial tank setup or for water changes, depending on initial hardness and desired value. If possible, use plain R/O water for additions for water lost to evaporation, otherwise use plain dechlorinated tap water (no A F Cichlid Chemistry added). Always mix A F Cichlid Chemistry outside the tank. Make changes slowly. Important: Measure alkalinity and pH after addition of A F Cichlid Chemistry, then use Kent A F Cichlid Buffer to adjust alkalinity and pH as directed.

Directions: First read the considerations for use section. Use 1 to 4 teaspoons (6 to 24 grams) of A F Cichlid Chemistry per 10 gallons (38 l) for initial tank setup or for water changes, depending on initial hardness and desired value. Next use A F Cichlid Buffer to adjust pH and alkalinity to the proper value.

Contents: Carbonates, sulfates, and chlorides of sodium, magnesium, calcium and potassium with all necessary minor and trace minerals.

TURBO CALCIUM provides bio-available calcium for lush growth of purple, pink and green calcareous algaes, snails, hard tube worms and clams.
Kent Marine Turbo Calcium

Corals will open more and stay attached to their skeletons better, with regular use. Phosphate & nitrate free! Contains no gluconates, EDTA, or other organics to raise DOC levels.

    Features:
  • Provides LARGE amounts of calcium for Hard and Soft Corals
  • Safely and rapidly raises calcium level, provides bioavailable calcium
  • Enhance growth of hard & soft corals, and other invertebrates
  • 200gr treats up to 13000gal

This product is the main ingredient in other calcium supplements in economical dry form! TURBO CALCIUM alone can provide all the calcium your reef will need, but for maximum results, use Kent Kalkwasser Mix first, then raise calcium level with this product. Strontium addition via use of Kent Marine Strontium & Molybdenum Supplement or TURBO STRONTIUM is absolutely necessary. Use of Coral Vite, and Essential Elements are beneficial, as well.

Considerations for Use: This product contains anhydrous calcium chloride in dry form. It should be used by experienced reef keepers who desire to rapidly raise the calcium level in their tanks. Novices or casual users should use Kent Marine Concentrated Liquid Calcium or Kalkwasser Mix instead of this product.

Directions: Start off using 1/8 teaspoon of granules per day on a 50 gallon, lightly loaded reef tank or 1/4 teaspoon of granules on a heavily loaded one. Since animals use calcium, and gallons do not, regular testing of calcium level by a good calcium test kit (Hach (TM) is recommended) is absolutely necessary with use of TURBO CALCIUM.

POLYOX Organic Material Oxidizer/Water Conditioner/Algae Controller provides superior water quality and assists in preventing growth of various cyanobacteria (commonly called red or blue green slime algae) by simply removing their food source.
Kent Marine Kent Marine Polyox

It will oxidize leftover food and dissolved and suspended organic matter. This will increase the water quality and provide a better environment for your fish and invertebrates! Use when water quality suffers due to heavy bio-loading.

  • Instantly begins to oxidize dissolved and suspended organics
  • Assists in preventing red or blue-green slime algae
  • Returns water to a natural state!
  • For Fresh & Marine Systems, fish-only and reef tanks
  • Does not contain any algaecide.
  • 8oz treats up to 11000gal

Considerations for use:
Poly Ox must not be used on systems less than 30 days old or immediately after major water changes (>30%). There must be enough organic matter either dissolved or suspended in the water to necessitate treatment. Do not use with chelated copper medications particularly Copper Power brand!

The marine method is completely safe for invertebrates and marine fish. Red velvet and other true algae will not be affected by Poly•Ox. Continue running skimmers. Do not use with ozone, and wait 1 week after ozone use to apply. If you have a redox meter, do not exceed 460 mv! It is recommended that you suspend carbon or resin filtration during use. A large partial water change and a fresh charge of Kent Marine Reef Carbon is recommended at the termination of treatment. After carbon use, apply the appropriate Kent Essential trace mineral for your system.

Directions:
First Read Considerations for use below! Freshwater: Add one dose only at 1 teaspoon (1 capful or 5 ml) to 4 teaspoons per 10 gallons (40 liters) of system capacity depending on bio-load. Can be repeated at 7 day intervals. Marine: (reefs and fish-only systems): Add one dose in the morning and one dose in the evening of 3 drops (use an eye dropper) per 10 gallons (40 liters) of system capacity for up to 10 days [this is equivalent to 1/4 teaspoon (1/4 capful or 1.25 ml) in a 60 gallon tank, twice a day]. Carefully observe inhabitants each time. If invertebrates close up at all, then half the dosage and use longer if necessary. DO NOT EVER OVERDOSE! Product can be squirted, slowly, on affected areas using a plastic syringe, and this is sometimes faster and more effective. This method also doses the entire tank, as well. Do not use again until time to dose again and do not exceed the above recommended dosages overall.
